This introductory course is great for beginners to explore and participate in the magic of film and animation. The program is centered around fun activities that not only teach traditional animation techniques but drawing, crafting, storytelling, and photography as well. In addition to learning and trying fundamental animation principles, this class will also encourage the development of attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills. We keep each season fresh with a rotating selection of exercises, focuses & goals! Some of these include: storyboarding, animation history, facial expressions, action scenes, dialogue, creating animation cels, walk cycles, and many other skills and tricks! Students will take home their own flipbook, animation handouts and worksheets, character drawings, animation cels, and any videos of their work will be emailed after the season wraps.
