Robotics classes are a great way to reinforce or introduce learning in math, coding, logic, and mechanics. Students will spend each class planning, building, coding, testing and improving robotic designs, with partners and individually.
This course will introduce them to the VEX robotics building system using the VEX Go robot set, as well as the Lego Mindstorm EV3 robot set. We'll focus on basic coding of the robot, and introducing and each of the components, including motors, eye sensor, touch sensor, and electromagnet.
Students will follow instructions to build basic robots, then use the engineering design process to customize their robots' build and code to complete specific tasks like launching a ball, navigating an obstacle course, or transporting loads.
