In this BASE session, you will explore the world of pottery by using the pottery wheel to throw your own creations. You learn the core techniques used by pottery throwers and go home with pieces you can share with friends and family. You will get the chance to work with clay, be creative, and have a unique piece made by YOU.
Throughout this program, students will learn how to manipulate clay using essential techniques (wedging, centering, pulling, trimming, altering, and glazing), work safely with clay, make functional and aesthetic design choices, solve problems that arise during the process, refine motor skills, engage in critical thinking, and express themselves in the medium of clay.
If you are ready to get your hands dirty and have some fun, sign up for Make Your Own Pottery!
