Part 1: Push/Pull
Hot Wheels SpeedometryTM encourages inquiry and real-world, problem-based learning through play and hands-on activities. This curriculum combines Hot Wheels fun, imagination, action, toys, and track to accelerate learning. We will use the 5E Model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate) to support student questions and create experiments to determine the answers to extend their understanding of the forces of push and pull and how surface conditions affect these forces.
Part 2: Force and Movement
Hot Wheels SpeedometryTM encourages inquiry and real-world, problem-based learning through play and hands-on activities. This curriculum combines Hot Wheels fun, imagination, action, toys, and track to accelerate learning. Students will continue to explore the concepts of force and motion, extending their understanding beyond push and pull. Students will understand that there are other forces, such as natural and man-made forces, that can impact the movement of an object.
